For the 150th year anniversary of the Theosophical Movement, United Lodge of Theosophists (ULT) Bengaluru hosted an exhibition at Indian Institute of World Culture (IIWC) from November 13th to 18th 2025 along with a panel discussion on 16th November 2025.

Kārunaya Hrdaya

Bodhisattva is a title given to the sons on earth of the celestial Dhyâni Buddhas, who have a heart of boundless compassion.

Saptaparna

Symbol of the 7-fold Man-Plant. In Esoteric Philosophy, Man as well as Nature is said to be composed of seven principles.

Boundless Compassion

Compassion is no attribute. It is the Law of Laws—eternal Harmony, Alaya's Self; a shoreless universal essence, the light of everlasting Right, and fitness of all things, the law of love eternal.

Antahkarana

It as the path or bridge between the Higher and the Lower Manas, the divine Ego, and the personal Soul of man, serving as a medium of communication between the two.

Punarvasu

Punarvasu Nakshatra consists of Castor and Pollux, also called the Dioscuri in Greek Mythology, the symbol of the dual-man—the Mortal and the Immortal, or Kshetra and Kshetrajna.

The Trinitarian One

The Trinitarian One is the Manifested Logos, or the Triple Hypostasis of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara on the Cosmic plane.

Ariadne's Thread

The thread of Truth which when followed assiduously leads one out of the Labyrinth of Samsara or embodied existence.

Tetragrammaton

The four-lettered name of God, its Greek title: the four letters are in Hebrew "yod, hé vau, hé", or in English capitals, IHVH.

Ever-increasing Perfection

As we rise in the scale of development we perceive that during the stages through which we have passed we mistook shadows for realities, and the upward progress of the Ego is a series of progressive awakenings, each advance bringing with it the idea that now, at last, we have reached "reality;" but only when we shall have reached the absolute Consciousness, and blended our own with it, shall we be free from the delusions produced by Maya.

Mahadyoni

सर्वयोनिषु कौन्तेय मूर्तय: सम्भवन्ति या: ।
तासां ब्रह्म महद्योनिरहं बीजप्रद: पिता ॥ Bhagavad Gita 14:4

The great Brahmâ is my womb in which I place the seed; from that, O son of Bharata, is the production of all existing things.

Ankh — Jiva

Also called the Egyptian Tau or cross. A symbol of the regenerated Man and of LIFE.

The Fortynine Fires

By his wife Swâhâ, Abhimânim had three sons (the fires) Pâvaka, Pavamâna and Suchi, and these had "forty-five sons, who, with the original son of Brahmâ and his three descendants, constitute the forty-nine fires" of Occultism.

Vyakta-Avyakta

अव्यक्ताद्व्यक्तयः सर्वाः प्रभवन्त्यहरागमे ।
रात्र्यागमे प्रलीयन्ते तत्रैवाव्यक्तसंज्ञके ॥ Bhagavad Gita 8:19

At the coming on of that day all things issue forth from the unmanifested into manifestation, so on the approach of that night they merge again into the unmanifested.

The Veil of Isis

Reverently we stepped in spirit within the temple of Isis; to lift aside the veil of "the one that is and was and shall be" at Saïs; to look through the rent curtain of the Sanctum Sanctorum at Jerusalem; and even to interrogate within the crypts which once existed beneath the sacred edifice, the mysterious Bath-Kol.

Loka Chakshus

The Eye of the World. "The eye would never see the sun, if it were not of the nature of the sun," said Plotinus.

Enigmatical Mirror

The world is an enigmatic mirror of human heart, a faithful reflection of our cherished ideas and ideals. Issues of the world flow from the human heart.

Dagon

"Fish" and also "Messiah". Dagon was the Chaldean man-fish Oannes, the mysterious being who arose daily out of the depths of the sea to teach people every useful science.

Brahma-Vak-Virāj

द्विधा कृत्वाऽत्मनो देहमर्धेन पुरुषोऽभवत् ।
अर्धेन नारी तस्यां च विराजमसृजत्प्रभुः ॥ Manu Smr̥ti 1:32

Having divided his body into two parts, He, the lord (Brahma), became male by one and female by the other half, in whom Virāj was begotten.
